Anouncing 2012 Summer Golf Camps!
Maximize Your Child's Potential By limiting class size and maintaining a 3:1 student/ instructor ratio, children gain a high degree of individualized instruction and progress quickly. For kids to develop their maximum athletic speed and power they must engage in physical activity that requires bursts of energy. Golf performance research shows that optimum developmental speed windows occur between ages 6-9 and then again at ages 11-14. Our instructors utilize this information and create opportunities for kids to throw, run, and hit as fast and as far as possible within the junior golf curriculum. The kids get a lot of time on the golf course and quickly learn that golf = fun! Each 5-Day Camp includes: - Instruction on each aspect of the game: Putting, Chipping, Pitching, Iron Play, Fairway Woods & Drivers - Rules & Etiquette - On-Course Playing Instruction - Daily Snacks - Show Off and Awards Picnic for junior golfer and 2 guests (Friday evening at 6 pm concluding the week at Liberty Hills) |

Coach Darrin Leichty
|
| Coach Steider is in his ninth year instructing at our camps, having worked closely with PGA Instructor Roy Hobson for six of those years. As a sixth grade teacher with Bellefontaine City Schools and an assistant high school golf coach at West Liberty-Salem, his experience and passion for golf and teaching kids has helped us build a program that the kids can't wait to return to year after year. |
|
Coach Leichty returns for a third year of golf camp with great experience teaching and coaching for eleven years at West Liberty-Salem Schools. As the varsity golf coach for six years, he has built a very competitive program with his high school players and conducted numerous clinics for elementary and middle school golfers. |
A few things to keep in mind:
- Equipment: We carry US Kids Golf sets in the complete size range. If you're not sure what your child needs, wait until the start of camp and our instructors will help you determine what's best for your child's current size and ability.
- Please be on time to drop off and pick up your golfer. Each session will begin and end promptly at the appointed time. We have a full day's schedule of junior golfers and can't be responsible for kids outside their appointed time session.
- Weather Questions? We will meet daily at the scheduled time, rain or shine. If the weather is threatening we move indoors to safety. Don't forget to apply sunscreen!
- Snacks: We provide a light snack and plenty to drink each day.
- Show Off & Awards Party: Mark your calendar for Friday evening concluding the week at 6 pm for about an hour. The kids are always excited to show off what they have learned. Camp fees include a picnic supper for the golfer and 2 guests. Additional guest tickets can be purchased.
