Our own Logan Clark Holt, 18, of Dublin, came back from a two shot deficit to win the presitigious Ohio Junior Championship at Riviera Golf Club in Dublin, June 29-30.  The 36-hole medal play tournament is hosted by the Ohio Golf Association and rotates to various courses around the state each year.  Logan's two under par two-day total of 142 (73-69) was good enough to best 190 of the top junior players in Ohio.  Holt began the final day two shots behind Michael Bernard of Huber Heights, Alex Carpenter of Westerville, and Matt Renner of Hilliard.

Logan's final round 69 was highlighted by eight birdies.  After missing a one foot par putt on the first hole, he found the groove with the putter on Riviera's slick greens rolling in birdies on the 2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 12th, 15th and 17th.  His birdie attempt on the 18th hit the hole, but the par was good enough for a win with a three under par round.  Logan keeps the Nicholas Popa Trophy for the year.

The win affords Logan exempt status for the Ohio Amateur Championship July 12-16 at Kirtland Country Club in Willoughby.  Logan will be a Senior at Dublin Coffman High School and is the grandson of Liberty Hills owners Roy and Donna Clark.
