connor Connor Adelsberger, Bellefontaine
October 22, 2011   Hole #13

Twelve-year old Connor has spent the entire summer practicing and it finally paid off with his first ace!  Unfortunately he won't get to claim this as official since he was playing by himself.  His buddy Braden Lewis just missed the big moment as he departed 2 holes earlier.  That's okay Connor, it's official as far as we're concerned! Way to go.
sherry Sherry Purnell, Springfield
October 5, 2011  Hole #18, 91 yards

Sherry impressed her 3 teammates in our annual Ladies Fall Scramble with a solo birdie on the seventeenth hole and then followed it up with an ace on the next hole!  Her playing partners Bev Elliott, Sue Castle, and Judy Geron especially enjoyed the shot with Sherry.
ken day Ken Day, West Liberty
August 11, 2011 Hole #18, 175 yards, 6-iron

While subbing for Bill Montgomery in the Amigo Golf League, Ken scored his 7th career ace.  Rush Eichholtz, Earl Zilles, and Jim Hilliker were his playing partners.  His first ace came at age 12, ironically while playing with Rush and Bud Eichholtz.
GRANT_RICKETTS_ACE Grant Ricketts, Belle Center
June 30, 2011
Hole #9, 156 yards
Age 13

Now this guy defines a competitor!  During the final hole of our annual Wendy's Junior Classic, while in the hunt for his age group's championship, Grant rolled it right in for his first ace!  His score of 72 (40, 32) was good enough to capture the Runner Up title in his age division.  Although he's only 13, Grant is a veteran golfer here at Liberty Hills and graduate of several years' LHGC Junior Golf Camps.  Look for big things to come from this young man in the future.
tiff Richard "Dick" Tiffany, Huntsville
May 31, 2011
Hole #13, 135 yards,
Club of Choice:  8 iron

Hearty Congratulations to a member of the Liberty Hills staff on his first hole in one!  As a retired high school principal, teacher,  and coach, and Dick says that fifty years of practice makes perfect.  Dick previously spent his summers managing the Kenton Memorial Golf Course.  We're delighted that he and wife Pam now spend part of their summer making Liberty Hills a more enjoyable place to play.  Playing partners Denny Lane, Todd Stump and Ed Heminger witnessed the perfect shot.  Be sure to congratulate Dick the next time you see him in the pro shop!
evans Neil Evans, Urbana
May 30, 2011
Hole #9, 184 yards

The distinction of the season's first hole in one goes to Neil Evans.  When asked which club he used for his first ace, Neil's reply was "I ain't tellin'!" (A little investigative work revealed that it was a driver... not an uncommon club choice on the uphill 9th!)  His regular foursome of fellow dewsweepers witnessed the achievement:  Bill Heitman, Steve Godwin and Kermit Russell.  Way to go Neil!
