We could have called it the McLaughlin Cup this year...
Sisters Samantha and Emily tied after 18 holes at 79 each. Samantha parred the first sudden death playoff hole to win the Liberty Ladies Cup over sister Emily. Both girls played their best golf ever as they posted their career low tournament scores.
In regulation play Samantha birdied 15 and 16 to go 3 ahead, but Emily held strong with pars on 17 and 18 and when Sam's 5 footer for the win lipped out on 18, the girls were headed for overtime.
Emily had a 15 foot par putt on #1 from 1 inch off the green to tie. She stroked it perfectly into the middle, but it bounced off the flag and gave Sam the opening she needed! Emily had to settle for low net with a 66.
Sydney Wesson was third with 89 and Shelby Starkey was 4th with 107.
